Aboriginal Medical Service Western Sydney had to endure a very tedious and at times difficult process to get where they are today and they have had to overcome many obstacles where they could have otherwise given up.

It is due to the very committed team and community who have supported the cause as well as Mrs Hickey and Mr Delaney who were instrumental in the initial establishment of AMS Western Sydney. These people were the contributing factor to improving equity and access for Aboriginal people within Western Sydney in education, employment/training and housing.  Along with many other dedicated local Aboriginal community members, the entire Aboriginal community has reaped the rewards of their dedication, persistence, patience and the tenacious predecessors.
