Service enhancements

AMS Western Sydney will retain all of its existing primary health care services over the coming three years.

In addition, AMS Western Sydney intends to enhance the quality and scope of a number of these existing services, particularly in the areas of:

1. Dental health
2. Child and maternal health
3. Social and emotional well being

New Services/New Markets

AMS Western Sydney has identified a number of areas of service need based on feedback from clients and the community, and from analysis of service demands that AMS Western Sydney has not been able to meet over the years.  These include:

1. Aged care
2. Youth services
3. Family health

In addition, AMS Western Sydney wants to identify options for providing better client services in the following communities in the region:

1. Blue Mountains
2. Penrith
3. Hawkesbury
4. Blacktown
5. Fairfield

AMS Western Sydney anticipates that the capacity of its existing premises at Mt Druitt will become inadequate during the coming three years.  Accordingly, the Management Board wants to:

1. Transition to new premises
2. Re-allocate usage of the existing Mt Druitt premises
3. Capture key value-adding and income-generating parts of the value chain, for reinvestment into primary health care service delivery.
